20th Anniversary of the Marine Challenge Cup

The Marine Challenge Cup Five-A-Side Soccer Tournament, founded by Chaffe McCall in 1998, proved to be once again the destination for the international shipping community’s soccer elites. The tournament, which was held the second weekend in July, welcomed over 20 teams of professionals in the shipping community.  Participants represented many sectors of the maritime industry, including P&I clubs, brokers, solicitors, insurers, investigators, law-firms, marine publications and others.

As in 1998, the winners of the coveted Marine Challenge Cup in 2018 was Thomas Miller, prevailing 2-0 over last year’s champions, Skuld.  The competition is organized by Chaffe McCall, DeCastro & Robles, Palmer Biezup & Henderson, Hamilton, Miller & Berthisel, Keesal, Young & Logan, and Freehill Hogan & Mahar.
