Chaffe McCall Continues to Grow its Commercial Litigation Capabilities with New Associate Joseph Dronet

BATON ROUGE, LA (January 2023) – Chaffe McCall further strengthens its national Commercial Litigation Group with the addition of Associate Joseph “Joey” Dronet in the firm’s Baton Rouge office.    

The addition of Joey is part of the firm’s continued growth in the commercial litigation space.  He joins the firm’s growing Baton Rouge office and a national team of attorneys with a long history of representing Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts, as well as in ADR forums and foreign jurisdictions.

Joey’s arrival at Chaffe McCall occurs during an exciting period of overall growth for the firm, which recently welcomed attorneys Elyce Ieyoub and Catherine Shroeder as associates in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.  Elyce and Catherine are assisting clients with complex litigation and regulatory issues. 

About Joseph Dronet

Joseph Dronet is a proven attorney with strong advocacy skills and strategic abilities. He is an associate focused on resolving claims related to medical malpractice litigation.  Before joining Chaffe McCall, Joey worked for a plaintiff firm in Lake Charles.  He is accustomed to considering both legal ramifications and business considerations through the lens of a corporate client.

Joseph earned his J.D. and D.C.L, magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2021, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class as a member of the Order of the Coif.  While in law school, Joseph was a member of the Ethics Committee and served as president of the tennis club.  He also participated in the Prosecution Clinic in association with the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office. Joseph received his B.A. from McNeese State University, Summa Cum Laude.
