Chaffe McCall Expands Insurance Practice with Addition of Leah Nunn Engelhardt

(New Orleans, LA) – Chaffe McCall L.L.P.  welcomes highly experienced attorney Leah Nunn Engelhardt as a Partner in the firm.  With over two decades of legal experience in complex insurance litigation, Leah will strengthen the firm’s Insurance Practice as the Practice Area Coordinator.

Leah adds depth to Chaffe McCall’s New Orleans office with sophisticated insurance coverage capabilities.  She focuses her legal work on the representation of domestic and international insurer clients in a wide range of commercial and personal lines insurance matters, including property, professional liability, construction defect, casualty, marine, energy, bad faith and other complex commercial issues under various policy forms.  She will be assisting clients in complex insurance matters involving insurance litigation, risk assessment and analysis, coverage, risk transfer and regulatory issues.

About Leah Nunn Engelhardt

Leah offers a deep background in litigation, volunteer management, and insurance counseling to Chaffe McCall.  She has represented insurers in matters involving energy, long-tail pollution claims, health hazard, marine, subrogation, construction defect, and employer liability disputes, and other primary general liability claims.  Leah practices across a number of industries, with a particular focus on serving clients in the non-profits service sector.

Before joining Chaffe McCall, Leah served as the New Orleans office Managing Partner of a regional law firm, where she routinely advised domestic and international insurer clients concerning insurance coverage and complex litigation matters.  Throughout the course of her career, she has counseled both domestic and foreign insurers on coverage matters and represented these clients in litigation in several jurisdictions throughout the country.

Leah is a 1994 graduate of Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she received an American Jurisprudence Award and served as an officer in the Student Bar Association. She graduated from Auburn University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing.
