In Memoriam: Andrew Partee

Andrew C. Partee, Jr. , 83, formerly of New Orleans, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Wesley Woods of Newnan-Peachtree City. He was born September 13, 1930 in Decatur, GA to the late Andrew Clayton Partee & Marie Jordan Partee. Mr. Partee received his undergraduate degree in English from Emory University and his Juris Doctorate degree from Emory University School of Law.

Andy practiced law in New Orleans for nearly 50 years where he was a partner at Chaffe McCall LLP. In the legal community, he was widely regarded as one of the finest labor lawyers in the Southeast. Ever the academic, he was an avid crossword puzzle solver and enjoyed playing bridge. He was a fan of his beloved New Orleans Saints. The memorial service is Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2 o’clock at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA with Pastor Martha Stewart officiating. Rather than flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Wesley-Woods of Newnan-Peachtree City, 2280 North Hwy 29, Newnan, GA 30265.
