Chaffe McCall Partner Walter F. Becker Appointed as 66th Sugar Bowl President

Chaffe McCall is delighted to announce the Sugar Bowl organization’s appointment of Walter F. Becker, a Partner based in New Orleans, as the 66th President of the Sugar Bowl. This prestigious role will see Walter leading the Sugar Bowl Committee throughout the 2024-25 year, culminating in the 91st annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic on January 1, 2025, which will also serve as a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal.

Expressing his gratitude for this esteemed appointment, Walter said, “It is an honor to be selected as President of the Sugar Bowl, which has such an incredible, positive impact on the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana.”

Walter has been a Partner at Chaffe McCall, LLP for over two decades, focusing on criminal and civil litigation. He attended Tulane University and Tulane Law School.  He holds licenses to practice law in Louisiana and Texas and serves as General Counsel for the City of New Orleans Office of Inspector General.
