Chaffe McCall expands Insurance Coverage with the addition of David A. Pote

NEW ORLEANS, LA (April 2021) – Chaffe McCall welcomes David A. Pote to the firm as an associate in its New Orleans office.  He joins the firm’s Insurance practice group, where he will focus on all aspects of insurance coverage/insurance defense litigation.

David represents clients in insurance coverage matters for both third-party and first-party claims. He has multi-state litigation experience involving insurance coverage, insurance defense, complex tort litigation, workers’ compensation, toxic torts, product liability, premises liability, and general casualty matters.

David has several years’ experience advising clients in the London insurance market on coverage issues arising out of historical asbestos exposure claims.  He has also assisted national trial counsel for major insurance carriers participating in the National Flood Insurance Program, acting as first-chair litigator for dozens of “Superstorm Sandy” cases in New York and New Jersey federal district courts. David helped serve as Special Counsel to the Attorney General of Louisiana in the BP oil spill multidistrict litigation, the largest civil litigation in U.S. history

David earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2000 from Tulane Law School, where he served on the Moot Court Board. He graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science from Birmingham-Southern College.
