Rachel Meese has a strong background in helping insurance industry clients navigate the myriad of issues that can occur when dealing with tough insurance matters. As a Partner in the Firm’s Insurance practice, Rachel’s desire to guard clients’ assets is matched only by her work ethic. She is committed to finding comprehensive resolutions to complex issues.
Throughout her career, she has provided guidance to clients ranging from insurance defense, insurance coverage, civil defense issues, and class-action and mass tort litigation. She has experience drafting, responding to, and arguing discovery and dispositive motions in litigation and arbitration involving:
- contractual disputes
- business torts
- construction liability
- real property issues
- legal malpractice claims
- premises liability claims
- insurance coverage issues
Rachel has represented clients in appellate proceedings in state and federal court and has extensive experience in appellate work and insurance coverage consulting and litigation, including bad faith litigation. She has also represented international businesses in complex contractual disputes in multi-jurisdictional litigation.
She received her undergraduate degree from San Jose State University, summa cum laude, and graduated from Tulane Law School cum laude. Rachel is admitted to practice in Louisiana and previously worked as a Staff Attorney for the Louisiana Supreme Court.
