Chaffe McCall Adds Seasoned Houston Martime, Energy, and Insurance Attorney John M. Ribarits

HOUSTON, TX (April 4, 2019) – Chaffe McCall has announced that maritime, energy, and insurance attorney, John M. Ribarits, has joined the firm’s rapidly growing Houston office as a Partner in its Insurance and Admiralty & Maritime practices.  He is a highly regarded and experienced litigation lawyer, who focuses his practice on advising clients on various matters in these key sectors.

John has a stellar professional record of representing domestic and international insurer and corporate clients in a wide range of commercial insurance and defense matters.  He brings to Chaffe McCall substantial first-chair trial experience in maritime, energy, general casualty, and insurance disputes in both state and federal courts. He previously served as a partner at a Houston law firm representing clients in matters involving the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, transportation, contractual defense and indemnity, and products liability.  John excels at resolving legal issues and matters in a timely, cost-effective, and industry-leading fashion.

John earned his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University School of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of New York at Buffalo.  He is a member of the Louisiana and Texas bars and is admitted to practice before numerous courts, including the Louisiana Supreme Court, the Texas Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana and the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
