Hail Rex! Congratulations to New Orleans Partner Bill Langenstein – Daughter Rex Queen

Queen of Carnival Daughter of Chaffe McCall Partner Bill Langenstein

Congratulations to New Orleans Partner Bill Langenstein and his daughter Charlotte Lane Langenstein who reigned as the Queen of Carnival on Tuesday, February 17.  The Langenstein family has a long valued history with the Rex organization, where family members have included a number of maids, queens, dukes, pages as well as two Kings of Carnival since the 1800s.  “I am very proud of my daughter and what she has achieved,” said Mr. Langenstein.  “This is a tremendous honor for my daughter and the entire family, we are thrilled to be a part of such a cherished tradition.”

“Laney” is a Vanderbilt University student and a candidate for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cognitive Studies and a Bachelor in Commerce Degree in Corporate Strategy, with a minor in Creative Writing.  She watched the Rex procession from the reviewing stand at the Hotel Intercontinental on Mardi Gras day.

Mr. Langenstein is a partner in Chaffe McCall’s New Orleans office and is a member of the firm’s taxation, real estate and corporation and business law sections.  He a Rex lieutenant and longtime krewe leader.
