Chaffe McCall congratulates Executive Director, Timothy P. Doody, recently honored with the Distinguished Public Service Award by The Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).  This award goes to only one Louisiana CPA annually and represents the highest honor for public service leadership, impact, involvement, and innovation by a CPA in Louisiana.

About Timothy P. Doody

For over 30 years, Tim has been Chaffe McCall’s Executive Director, who oversees the firm’s day-to-day business operations.  He is responsible for handling all aspects of the firm’s financial management, business administration, human resources management, and support functions.

Throughout his 40-plus-year career in accounting, Tim has been dedicated to advocating for the community.  In 2007, he was appointed to the reconstituted Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East after Hurricane Katrina.  After only six months into service as its Treasurer, he was elected as its President, a position he held during his entire tenure until 2014.  He was closely involved with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in designing and constructing the new flood protection work, a $14 billion project.  During his service, he was appointed to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, The Association of Levee Boards of Louisiana, and the Mississippi Valley Flood Control Association.  Tim has testified in Washington, DC, concerning flood protection.

Tim currently volunteers for the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, the Edwin M. and Claire R. Roy Foundation, Operation Merry Christmas, and the Chaffe McCall donor-advised funds at the Greater New Orleans Foundation.  He was also a Red Cross swim instructor for 25 years.
