Chaffe McCall Continues Growth in Texas with New Insurance Litigation Attorney

Houston, TX  – Chaffe McCall LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Sandra Marquez as an associate in the Insurance and Litigation practices, furthering the firm’s expansion in Texas. Sandra is an accomplished litigation attorney with extensive experience advocating for clients in complex legal matters involving construction defects, property damage, subrogation, premises liability, insurance coverage, personal injury defense, and commercial transportation.

Sandra’s arrival marks a significant milestone in the firm’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional legal counsel and enhancing its legal capabilities. Before joining Chaffe McCall, Sandra served as staff counsel for a Fortune 100 insurance company, managing hundreds of property and casualty cases throughout Texas and Louisiana. Her clients included individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, sureties, and insurers, whom she represented in pre-suit investigations, litigation, trial, and appellate proceedings.

Sandra earned her J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where she was the Senior Notes & Comments Editor for the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and a Senior Legal Research and Writing Fellow. During her law school tenure, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Lance Africk, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and the Honorable Sheri Polster Chappell, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She received her B.M. from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, graduating with honors and earning membership in the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honors Society.
Sandra joins Chaffe McCall at a time of significant growth for the firm. Recently, the Texas office proudly welcomed seasoned attorney Dave Opperman as a Partner in the Insurance Practice Group in Houston. Dave’s extensive experience across diverse legal domains, including maritime, renewable energy, construction, transportation, and finance, further enriches the firm’s depth of knowledge and client offerings.
