Admiralty Partners speak at Admiralty Law Institute at Tulane

Chaffe McCall admiralty and maritime attorneys will serve in a variety of roles during the Tulane Admiralty Law Institute on October 26-28, 2016, at Tulane University.

Chaffe McCall parspeakerp20mic28129-jpg-pagespeed-ce-spey20372ztners Hal Watson and Tom Forbes will serve as moderators and panelists, respectively, for the “Tulane Admiralty Law Institute and Maritime Law Association’s 50 Year Reunion” Maritime Forum. The three day Admiralty Law Institute is the oldest (since 1966) and largest continuing legal education program devoted to maritime law. Programs will focus on the trends and developments in the various sectors of the global shipping industry (such as collision and salvage, injuries and marine insurance) and areas related to bank finance, capital raising and private equity.

Hal Watson of the Houston office will be giving the opening presentation as President of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, “A Fifty Year Retrospective on the American Law of Marine Insurance,” and will serve as a moderator on the “MLA Amicus Briefs of the Past and the Future of Shipping” panel.  New Orleans partner Tom Forbes will serve as a moderator for the session, “Collision, Limitation of Liability and Salvage.”
