G. Wogan Bernard is a partner in Chaffe McCall’s Business and Real Estate section where he has assisted lenders and developers in connection with all aspects of commercial real estate matters, including:

  • Acquisition
  • Divestiture
  • Development
  • Leasing and financing
  • Loan workouts
  • Distressed-asset assistance of commercial properties

Wogan’s real estate focus includes significant experience representing commercial lenders, developers, and tenants in matters involving office buildings, apartments, condominiums, restaurants, low-income housing, and hotel developments. From small start-up businesses on a local level, he has advised clients in the areas of planning, zoning, subdivision, and permitting requirements. In addition, Wogan has further experience assisting clients on trusts and estate planning, and probate matters.

Wogan is a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and currently serves as the ACMA State Chair for Louisiana. He is also a Fellow of The American College of Real Estate Lawyers. Wogan is an active member of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Real Estate Finance Group and is a member of the CLE Committee. From 2012-2015, he served as Chair of the Mortgage Lending Committee and in 2009 he served as Vice Chair of the Government Incentives Committee.
