Joan Sheridan is a seasoned litigator who helps professionals and businesses protect their reputations, manage risk, and prevail when high-stakes disputes threaten their operations. As Of Counsel in Chaffe McCall’s Labor & Employment and Litigation sections, she is known for combining trial-ready advocacy with pragmatic problem-solving to achieve efficient outcomes for clients.

Joan focuses her practice on defending local, regional, and national employers against discrimination and harassment claims, with additional experience in:

  • Personal injury
  • Transportation litigation

Joan represents clients through every phase of litigation, from discovery and early dispositive motions to jury trials, tailoring strategy to align with each client’s business objectives.

Before joining Chaffe McCall, Joan successfully defended individuals, national corporations, and insurance companies in complex wrongful death, personal injury, negligence, and premises liability matters throughout Missouri and Kansas. Her experience includes defending national hotel chains, residential treatment centers, and non-profit organizations in cases involving bodily injury and abuse allegations. After relocating to New Orleans, Joan served as a judicial law clerk to Magistrate Judge Eva J. Dossier of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
