Patrick D. Sears, Jr. is passionate about the insurance industry and adept at navigating the complexities and legal challenges impacting insurance-related businesses.  Prior to joining Chaffe McCall’s Houston office, Patrick practiced in a plaintiff’s firm focusing on business litigation as well as insurance defense for several national carriers, including:

  • First and third-party auto and homeowners’ claims
  • Premises liability cases
  • General liability matters

Patrick attended the University of Houston where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the policy debate team. He received his J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center where he advanced in mock trial competitions, served as Treasurer of the Black Law Students Association, and was a student member of the Faculty Appointments Committee. During law school, Patrick clerked for The Honorable Judge Fredericka Phillips in the 61st Civil District Court of Harris County in Houston.
