Rosalie M. Haug

Rosalie M. Haug is a Partner in Chaffe McCall’s New Orleans office who offers a personal commitment to each matter she handles.   She is a member of both the Litigation and Labor and Employment sections and represents corporate clients ranging from local businesses to multinational corporations, railroads, educational institutions, and area nonprofit organizations. Rosalie represents clients in all forums, including state and federal courts, arbitration, and administrative agencies.  She has defended clients in administrative proceedings before the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights.

Rosalie is a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (“NARTC”).  She has experience defending railroads in Federal Employers’ Liability Act and Federal Railroad Safety Act claims and claims involving:

  • Grade crossings
  • Pedestrians
  • Preemption
  • Property issues

Rosalie’s breadth of employment experience includes the defense of federal, state, and local employment law claims and federal statutes involving:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act
  • The Age Discrimination in Employment Act
  • The Fair Labor Standards Act
  • The Family Medical Leave Act
  • The Equal Pay Act
  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act

Rosalie’s broad range of employment matters includes related tort claims, such as defamation, infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy. She counsels clients concerning personnel policies and practices, including drafting contracts and policies, investigating complaints, and drafting employment applications and employee handbooks.

Rosalie earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School, where she served as a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and was a member of the Tulane Law Moot Court Board.  She graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History.
