Howell Crosby Included in the International Who's Who of Real Estate Lawyers 2013
Chaffe McCall partner Howell Crosby is included in The International Who's Who of Real Estate Lawyers 2013. This publication will be released in July 2013.
The International Who's Who of Real Estate Lawyers seeks to identify private practice lawyers with a proven track record in providing advice to clients – including tenants, investors and developers – on all aspects of buying, selling, leasing, developing, and managing real estate. Practitioners listed in the guide are able to counsel clients, including banks, property companies, hoteliers, institutions, local and public authorities, and REITs on issues ranging from real estate investment, development, sale and leaseback, borrowing, funding, and lending. In addition, lawyers featured in the publication may be experienced in providing national and cross-border real estate advice, and may also have expertise in transactions in which real estate forms a major part, but which could not be classified as real estate deals in the traditional sense.
Mr. Crosby has diverse experience in real estate transactions law, including the representation of large institutional clients in connection with the acquisition, sale, financing, and leasing of office buildings, apartment complexes, industrial sites, shopping centers, warehouses, and hotels. He represents both landlords and tenants in large commercial leases and has a niche practice of representing developers in planning, zoning and entitlement matters before governmental authorities. Mr. Crosby received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Tulane University, cum laude, and his J.D. and MBA degrees from Tulane University School of Law and the Tulane A.B. Freeman School of Business, respectively.
Mr. Crosby is listed as a top Real Estate attorney in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He was named a “Louisiana Super Lawyer” in the 2013 issue of Louisiana Life magazine. Mr. Crosby is also listed in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America under both Real Estate Law and Corporate Law. He is a fellow and past president of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
