Chaffe McCall’s Peter Strasser was honored last night at the New Orleans City Business Leaders in Law reception. Strasser is named as a 2015 Leaders in Law honoree, which recognizes his outstanding service to the legal community as well as civic and charitable leadership.

The honor is presented annually to New Orleans area legal professionals based on a combination of factors, including “their professional and community involvement and achievements that have set the pace for the overall community.”   The list was published in the March 20th issue of CityBusiness and can be read here.

“I’m honored to receive such recognition and to be among a prestigious class of leaders,” said Strasser. “I continue to be impressed by the number of awards our attorneys receive.” John Olinde, manager partner, further remarked, “This further cements our excellent reputation as a firm with lawyers who are committed to their community and their profession.”

A Partner at Chaffe McCall, Strasser is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses on government investigations and White-Collar criminal defense.  His cases as a former federal prosecutor have included the racketeering trial of former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards.  His compliance experience also includes serving on a court-appointed monitoring team evaluating an anti-money laundering compliance program in the U.S. southwest border area, and serving as an OECD anti-corruption monitor evaluating corruption in the Republic of Georgia.
