J. Gregory Wyrick Direct Dial Number: (504) 585-7502 Mr. Wyrick is a Louisiana Board Certified Tax Attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Tulane University in 1977 before graduating from the Tulane University School of Law in 1979. After pursuing a Masters Degree in Tax Accounting at the University of New Orleans, Mr. Wyrick joined the international accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney, where he was a tax specialist in the New Orleans office's Tax Department. Thereafter Mr. Wyrick was graduated from the Boston University School of Law in 1984 with a Master of Laws in Taxation. Mr. Wyrick joined Chaffe McCall in February, 1987. He specializes in federal, state and local tax matters and tax controversies. He has broad experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, liquidations, reorganizations, tax exempt bonds, tax exempt organizations, trusts, estates, partnerships, pension and profit sharing plans, international taxation, and employee fringe benefits. Since 1986, Mr. Wyrick has served as an Adjunct Professor of Tax Accounting at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, Louisiana. His published articles include "Limited Liability Companies," National Business Institute, "Tax Planning with Charitable Trusts," Louisiana Bar Journal, April 1991; "Exempt Organizations and Charitable Giving," National Business Institute, and "The 'Kiddie Tax': A Complex New Limit on Shifting Taxable Income," Louisiana Bar Journal, February, 1988.
