Ms. Voorhies was born in New Iberia, Louisiana.  In 2002, she graduated as the valedictorian of the College of Arts and Sciences of Loyola University New Orleans, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology. 

Ms. Voorhies received a Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in May 2005.  She graduated summa cum laude and received the John Minor Wisdom Award.  While attending Tulane, she was a member of both the Tulane Law Review and the Order of the Coif.  She also served as a Senior Fellow of the Legal Research and Writing Program.

Prior to joining Chaffe McCall, Ms. Voorhies served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.  Since joining Chaffe McCall, L.L.P, Ms. Voorhies has worked as an associate in the Labor and Employment Law Section.
