Mr. Sundmaker was born in Metairie, Louisiana in 1970. He graduated from Tulane University's A. B. Freeman School of Business in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a concentration in Accounting. In 1995, he received a juris doctor from Loyola University School of Law as well as a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Graduate School of Business. During law school, Mr. Sundmaker was a member of the Loyola Moot Court Staff.

He joined Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. in 1997 and has worked primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and civil litigation.

Mr. Sundmaker recently defended in trial a hotel operator in a premises action.  He has conducted multiple bench and jury trials in both state and federal courts in the areas of medical malpractice, products liability and breach of contract.  Mr. Sundmaker has an extensive bankruptcy practice which primarily consists of representing the interest of automobile lenders including, Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation, Americredit Financial  Services, Drive Financial Services, Citifinancial Auto Credit and others.  He also represents auto lenders in general litigation matters recently defeating a claim of fraud and improper service. 

Mr. Sundmaker is a Fleur de Lis member of the New Orleans Bar Association and an active member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and the Louisiana State and Federal Bar Associations.
