Mr. Soule was born in the United Kingdom in 1964. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1987 and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University in 1990.

He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts (1990), all Texas state courts (1996) and the federal Southern District of Texas, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana,  and Texas Bar Associations. He has a diverse litigation background and extensive trial experience in administrative, state and federal courts. He practices primarily in the field of maritime personal injury, marine and general casualty insurance and state and federal (longshore) compensation claims, and continues to handle and try cases from the Great Lakes through the Mississippi and Ohio River valleys and throughout the Gulf coast, from Texas to Florida.
