Mr. Rinker, a New Orleans native, received a Bachelor of Science in Finance with high honors and an M.B.A. from Louisiana State University before graduating magna cum laude from Tulane University School of Law in 1982, where he was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, the highest law school commendation for scholastic performance and character.

While in law school, Mr. Rinker served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Law Review and as President of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national collegiate academic and leadership society. He was also a member of Mortar Board, Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and other honorary organizations. He was the author of several publications for the Tulane Law Review.

He has been a partner in the firm since 1986, where he has served on the legal personnel, business development and recruiting committees. He has appeared before the United States Supreme Court, the Louisiana Supreme Court, many federal and state district courts, and various administrative agencies in Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana State Law Institute and the American, Louisiana, and New Orleans Bar Associations. He was a founding director of the Young Leadership Council in New Orleans. He serves as Chairman of Greater New Orleans Educational Television Foundation (WYES-TV Channel 12); Chairman and trustee of the Louisiana Museum Foundation; trustee of Southwestern Legal Foundation; former trustee of Louisiana Children’s Museum; former trustee of Maison Hospitaliere; member of the development committee of The Greater New Orleans Foundation; trustee, International Social Services (ISS) (UK); Treasurer and board director, Louisiana State Museum; trustee, W. R. Irby Trust; board director, Arts Counsel of New Orleans; and a member of The Board of Advisory Editors of the Tulane Law Review.

Mr. Rinker practices in the areas of the administration of trusts and estates, estate planning, tax planning, and the acquisition, disposition, and financing of small and intermediate-sized businesses and their assets.
