Mrs. Plemer is a 1973 graduate of Tulane University Law School. From 1973 until 1985, when she came to Chaffe McCall, she was employed by The Prudential Insurance Company of America in its real estate investment section covering five southern states. During her practice with Prudential,

Mrs. Plemer gained broad experience in partnership law; real estate development, both commercial, industrial and residential; acquisitions of commercial and agricultural projects; and secured lending practices and major construction projects.

Since joining Chaffe McCall, she has had extensive experience in negotiating commercial leases and has presented seminars on that topic, and joint venture formations. Mrs. Plemer prepared the Louisiana documentation for the merger, dissolution, and sale of assets of three Fortune 500 corporations. Mrs. Plemer has continued to practice in the area of law relating to investment and real estate related projects. She has represented two major companies in their acquisition of commercial real estate and in the course thereof has directed her attention to compliance with environmental legislation in connection with purchase of the properties. Mrs. Plemer has participated in workout and settlement negotiations in connection with participation loans.

Mrs. Plemer has been active in the negotiation and preparation of contracts for the construction, purchase and sale of ships and maritime equipment, including the financing thereof involving both domestic and international companies and in the financing activities for oil service related companies.  She has been an active member of WISTA, USA and WISTA International for 14 years, serving on the WISTA USA Board for 8 years and on the WISTA International Board as Treasurer for two years.
