Ms. Livaudais, a New Orleans native, is a 1982 honors graduate of Tulane Law School, where she served as a member of the Board of Editors of the Tulane Law Review from 1980-1982. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1976.

Ms. Livaudais is a general partner and Section Coordinator in the Labor and Employment Law Section of the firm, engaged in the defense of race, age, sex, religious, national origin and disability discrimination and harassment suits under federal and state law. She also litigates wrongful discharge and breach of employment contract claims under state law, including related tort claims such as defamation, infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy. Several of her reported cases have strengthened the employment at will doctrine in Louisiana; others have strengthened the jurisprudence concerning the deference to be accorded university tenure and promotion decisions. Ms. Livaudais has rendered advice to numerous clients concerning personnel policies and practices, including the drafting of policies, investigation of sexual harassment complaints, and the drafting of employment applications, affirmative action plans and employee handbooks. She is the author of articles on labor and employment law and environmental law published in both the Tulane and Loyola Law Reviews, and a frequent speaker at seminars on employment issues.

Mr. Livaudais represents corporate clients ranging from local New Orleans businesses to multinationals, as well as several New Orleans area nonprofit organizations.  She has been continuously named as one of the Best Lawyers in America for Labor and Employment Law since 2008, as one of Louisiana Super Lawyers since  2009, and as one of New Orleans Best Lawyers since 2006. She received the Leadership in Law Award from New Orleans CityBusiness in 2007.

Ms. Livaudais is an active member of the Employment Law Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Litigation Section and the Equal Employment Committee of the American Bar Association Labor Law Section, and of the Labor Law Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She is also active in leadership roles in several civic and nonprofit organizations in the Greater New Orleans area
