Ted George was born in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1954. In 1974, after a year abroad in Fribourg, Switzerland, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.) degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He then moved to New Orleans and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1978. Between the years of 1978 and 1986 he practiced law with the firm of Stassi & Rausch APLC, in New Orleans.

Mr. George returned to Georgetown in 1986 and earned a Master's of Law in Taxation (M.L.T.) degree. Upon his return to New Orleans in 1987, he worked as an IRS District Counsel for a year before joining the law firm of Henican, James & Cleveland, L.L.P. In 2001, Mr. George joined the firm of Chaffe, McCall where he practices in the area of mergers and acquisitions. He is general counsel to Stewart Enterprises, Inc. and to The Commanders Family of Restaurants, Inc. and related entities including Commander's Palace, Inc. and Brennan's of Houston, Inc.

Mr. George is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, The New Orleans Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
