Benit Direct Dial Number: (504) 585-7582 email: Mr. Benit received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in 1985, Masters in Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in Finance from Louisiana Tech in 1987, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 1991, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board.   Mr. Benit joined Chaffe McCall in 2002 and became a general partner in 2005.  Mr. Benit’s primary areas of practice include general business and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contract law, construction law and estate planning.  Mr. Benit has been directly involved in an extensive number of mergers, as well as stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions.  He has also been involved in numerous construction projects representing both owners and general contractors, including state and federal disaster recovery projects and representation of a publicly-traded company with operations throughout the United States.   Mr. Benit is a member of the Louisiana State and Mississippi Bar Associations and is admitted to the federal and state courts of Louisiana and Mississippi.
