Sarah Voorhies Myers

As a partner in the Labor and Employment Section at Chaffe McCall,  Sarah Myers devotes her practice to representing employers and management in labor and employment litigation.  Her experience includes successfully defending employers in matters involving:

  • Employment discrimination and harassment
  • Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions
  • Breach-of-contract and breach of restrictive covenants
  • The National Labor Relation Act

Sarah also has substantial experience defending employers in administration proceedings before the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance. In addition to traditional litigation, Sarah routinely counsels clients in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and to minimize the risk of litigation.  Her practice also includes drafting employer policies and handbooks, employment agreements, and training programs, as well as human resources and management consulting.

Prior to joining the firm, Sarah served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.  While attending Tulane University Law School, she was a member of  the Tulane Law Review and the Order of the Coif.  She also served as a Senior Fellow of the Legal Research and Writing Program.  Sarah graduated summa cum laude as the Valedictorian of the College of Arts and Sciences of Loyola University New Orleans, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology, and was recognized as the outstanding graduate in the English Department, Psychology Department, and the University's Honors Program.
