Harry R. Holladay

Harry Holladay is a partner in the New Orleans office of Chaffe McCall and is adept at identifying issues that clients face.  While he focuses on providing sound advice on a wide range of issues, Harry's law practice involves property and contract matters, particularly with respect to:

  • Title to land
  • Estate planning, trusts and successions
  • Mineral rights
  • Bankruptcy for creditor clients
  • Corporate financings

For over twenty years, Harry has handled residential/commercial property and oil & gas leases and has represented clients including, real estate tenants and developers, oil and gas producers and landowners. He has assisted lenders in providing opinions on making and restructuring commercial loans and advising on secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Harryy has issued title opinions on commercial property, on mineral rights property and for drilling, acquisitions and financing transactions. His oil and gas practice has covered onshore and offshore mineral leases and advice to operators and working interest owners for operating agreements, participation agreements, materialmen's, operators’ and non-operators’ liens and well operations.

Harry has also assisted clients in preparing and drafting estate plans, wills (or testaments) and trusts. He has further experience handling matters related to powers of attorney and distribution of estates and successions.

Harry is a member of PLANO, an organization of land professionals based in New Orleans. He is also a member of the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust Section), the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Louisiana State Bar Association (Mineral Law Section) and the New Orleans Bar Association.

Harry attended Tulane Law School and served on the Tulane Moot Court Board and the editorial staff of The Maritime Lawyer. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School in 1978.
