Charles L. Chassaignac

Charles L. Chassaignac has practiced in the field of products liability defense for the past twenty-five years providing counsel to clients in a variety of industries, particularily pharmaceutical company clients.  Charles heads the firm's subsection on Drugs and Devices and  is a member of the Steering Committee of the Defense Research Institute Section on Drugs and Devices, and the American Bar Association Section on Products Liability.

Charles was a Special Agent of the Office of Special Investigation (OSI) of the United States Air Force from 1961 through 1964. He is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He has served as a member of the Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators of the American Arbitration Association.

Charles received his Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tulane University. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Louisiana in 1968, and served as law clerk for the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal prior to joining Chaffe McCall.
